Norwegian Dominionist Slaughters Innocents

For several years I have written about Dominionism in America, making few references to its global presence. The tragedy in Norway where innocent lives were viciously gunned down is evidence of this creeping bible-based cult and its dangerous influence as it distorts minds.

The following is a report to me by my researcher, Alex Bird, about the connections the shooters have with Dominionist organizations:

The guy in Norway who set off the bomb in Oslo and then went to a children’s camp, Anders Behring Breivik, (run by the main socialist-progressive party in Norway) and shot some ninety-odd kids to death (at least. Current death toll at the time of this writing is 98).

It turns out he is a self-proclaimed “Conservative Christian nationalist” who apparently was very active on a Norwegian-language anti-Moslem hate forum (compilation of writings, in Norwegian. ((warning: hate site))…and in Norway, there’s really only two possibilities (Dominionist or neo-Nazi)…and things MIGHT be thrown more to the “Dominionist” end of things as he apparently listed an anti-Nazi author on his now-defunct Facebook and media reports that he’s supposedly “pro-Israel”…

So far, much of the press on this has been in Norwegian-language sources, but the Australian Broadcasting Corporation notes that he was a “Christian fundamentalist”: At least one person familiar with Norwegian and who has been following reports (on a forum I’m a regular on) has even noted that “Christian DOMINIONIST” may be a more accurate translation…an article in the Jakarta Globe also points to “dominionist” without using the term. Apparently he went through confirmation at 15, which indicates he converted to a Dominionist church from a mainline Christian one…

That said, there may well have been hints that–if not an actual neo-Nazi–he WAS racialist (and especially in Europe, religious nationalism and racism seem to fit hand in glove); reports by childhood friends (noted in the ABC article above) say he was recruited into “far-right wing” groups in his twenties and he apparently opposed the idea of different cultures living in a meltng pot or even patchwork quilt (in other words, he was a “cultural nationalist”, a line I’ve seen taken by racialist groups here in the States who aren’t neo-Nazis–particularly the Klan and “Christian Identity” groups, but also by neo-Confederate groups in particular).

Even the anti-Nazi author he cites (Max Manus) is an example of this–he was anti-Nazi, but ultranationalist and believed all non-Norwegians should be expelled from the country. He has also (according to folks who read Norwegian) expressed support for Geert Wilders (a Dutch author noted for links to neo-fascist groups) and Pamela Geller (likewise noted for links to anti-Moslem racist groups, including those in the Tea Party movement). He apparently was also a regular guest blogger at the NARasite-linked Jihad Watch as well as a number of other dominonist-linked anti-Moslem hate sitesand even operated an English-language hate site. A Norwegian investigator has collected his posts in various forums.(Of note, this is also pretty damning proof that he was in regular contact with Dominionists with links to the “racist right” here in the US.)

There are also some reports that he was a regular poster to Stormfront, an infamous hate forum that is the primary watering hole for the racist right in the US and elsewhere. I’ve not yet found confirmation of this, though.

There are also indications he did NOT act alone; eyewitnesses at Utoya note there were two gunmen, and at least one other person on the island has been arrested…

Regarding the bombing, it appears he set up an agricultural firm (possibly as a front) and bought a large amount of fertiliser just before the bombing: (Of note: Most European countries restrict sale of ammonium nitrate fertiliser to co-ops and farmers with provable security, because it’s not uncommon for fertiliser to be stolen for truck bombs. Unfortunately, the regulations don’t account for front companies buying this and setting up faux “co-ops” for purposes of terrorism)

He apparently started out in the Progress Party, a Norwegian party that trends right-wing and is ‘the closest thing that Norway has to the Republicans” (according to sources in Norway–I should note this is not including parties outright banned due to links to neo-Naziism and racism) but apparently left it because they weren’t right-wing enough….

Needless to say…right-wing forums here in the US are not taking this news at all well (they were heavily promoting the meme that this was Al Qaeda, and are STILL desperately trying to claim this was an “Al Qaeda operative” to hide the fact one of their own has committed an act of terrorism and the worst Norwegian killing spree ever recorded. Even in US mainline forums, there seems to be an almost deliberate spin against reporting the facts–that this was likely an act of Dominionist terrorism

As a personal aside–when the news on this first came out, I commented on these forums “I bet the guy is some sort of Christian nationalist or neo-Nazi, because the details, especially the shooting, sound much more like that than Al Qaeda’s style”…also noted I said and sensed the same thing re Oklahoma City (which turned out to be connected to racialists connected to militias who took their direct inspiration from the racist “coup-porn” The Turner Diaries) and the Olympic Park Bombing (which turned out to be connected to Eric Rudolph, an Army of God operative and also known to be connected to Christian Identity organizations). There are times I seriously hate being right about this stuff….

This is chilling information. These people – Dominionists – are full of hate and anger – convinced that this is justified by their twisted version of theology. And this is why we work so very hard to discuss the dangers of Dominionism. We understand how volatile these people are and how entitled they view themselves as God’s “chosen”. The rest of us are expendable….

I am awful at asking for help, but given the pushback that we are getting in trying to explain the ties and demonstrate why this network of extremism is growing, The Charts© are needed now more than ever! (My header is a snippet of what The Charts look like).  We welcome even modest donations enabling us to continue forward. Software and server costs to build a database such as this are depleting our personal resources. Your help is crucial. Even $5, $10 or $20 will be an enormous infusion that will enable us to adhere to these important deadlines in time for 2012. We have a donation button on this sidebar.

For those who send $25 or less I will send you a jpeg (photograph) of one of our link Charts. For Donations greater than $25 I will send you two of our Charts.

His manisfesto is now translated and on the internet. He does have much in common with the American dominionists. Like banning birth control and abortion, limiting women's rights, and promoting making lots of white babies. Global warming is a hoax. And this:

" Christians need to understand that there can be no peace or understanding with the Islamic world. They want to subdue us, pure and simple. Church leaders of all denominations, Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox, must stop stabbing Israel in the back and campaigning for a de facto open borders policy while Muslims are threatening to swamp our lands. Yes, Christianity teaches compassion, but it also teaches identifying evil and standing up to it. At the end of the day, the Church must decide whether, in the defence of civilisation, it wants to be a part of the problem or a part of the solution."

One tiny bit of good news, the usually quite conservative paper here actually came out and said that he was a "fundamentalist Christian" and that conservative ideology was behind the situation in Norway. On a local level, people (such as at the paper) have resisted the idea that there is an organized movement to "take over the town/city/county/state/country/continent/world for Christ" very strongly, although one person I know at the paper seems to be starting to wake up a bit.

I know that there is a compendium of terrorist acts committed in this country (usually by the extreme right)such as at SPLC, but those don't include a lot of the more sinister but less obvious things like what happened to the non-Christian who asked for sectarian prayers in South Carolina and the poisoning of the teacher's dog at the Air Force Academy in Colorado (because of his speaking out against the dominionist takeover of that institution). People don't realize just how dangerous these folks are… and that they could be next, if they don't go along with the dominionists. They don't connect the dots, and partially because they've become used to the news connecting the dots for them. This really needs to be tied to what is going on here, and people need to wake up to the fact that home-grown terrorism is alive and well in this country (and is being exported around the world, such as to Norway).

We also are watching to see if the news gets a "BIG NEW STORY!!!" that will detract people from what is going on. My wife and I have noticed that as a regular thing… she comments on it when she becomes aware of something dire (such as attacks on freedom of speech/religion) and then notes what looks like a deliberate attempt (to her) to distract people from the real news. This, in my experience, becomes really active when it's dominionists/fundamentalists who are in the news.

I will be watching to see if more people get caught and it's actually mentioned that this wasn't a "Lone Crazy" situation, like every other one has been portrayed (even the Olympic Park bombing has been portrayed that way).

BTW… keep us informed if you have the time. I don't go to a lot of places in the "blogosphere", and avoid the more conservative/dominionist ones like the plague (too triggering).

Will you please post a link to the flow chart/diagram on your masthead? I'd love to study it. Thanks!

Your request is timely…I just posted a short post a few minutes ago actually (see Dominionism Has Many Faces) announcing our intent to make a portion of The Charts (c) available this Fall and then a book containing them that will link to a web site with hundreds of them in the Spring of 2012. We have been working on this project for several years and are anxious to make these available. They really DO tell the story visually that cannot be conveyed with words. I wish I could show them sooner, but we are still working with our publisher to get these out. Thank you and bear with us while we work to make these available.

  4. Craig says:

The above post misrepresents what the Australian Broadcasting Corporation wrote. They merely noted that information on the internet "suggests the gunman was a Christian fundamentalist", not that he is one.

    • A Walkaway says:

Subsequent information pretty much confirms the monster was a dominionist. I'm not surprised, considering the things they've done and said.

I'm just waiting to see this re-written as a "lone wolf operating on mental illness", rather than someone just following through on dominionist ideology.

  6. Johnny says:

According to the UN Convention on the Punishment and Prevention of Genocide, paragraph 2C states that genocide is also "inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction, in whole or in part." For decades multiculturalist leftists have been telling white people that demographic change in their countries is inevitable and that they would have to acquiesce to their eventual extinction by allowing fecund ethnicities from disparate and often hostile cultures to invade Euro lands. That's genocide. Nobody promotes multiculturalism in Japan, China, Mexico, Nigeria, etc. It's only shoved down white people's throats in white countries. If colonialism was wrong when whites did it, why is it right when non-whites do it in white lands? It's an obvious attempt at genocide, and people like yourself who only single out and bemoan white "racists" are on the wrong side of history. People like you made Breivik. You picked this fight with such people and have stirred up the hornet's nest. You will now be powerless to contain the forces that you've unleashed and will be swept aside by the tide of history.

    • Leah Burton says:

Appreciate that heads up, Johnny! I am always appreciative of added clarity.

      • A Walkaway says:

It sure seems that trolls are coming out of the woodwork after this tragedy. I've seen a couple of instances where I suspected that people claiming to be other than dominionist, for instance – to be a communist (but on threads about this topic) are actually dominionists who can't stand the truth being said to or about them.

The usual cry is either "everyone does it!" or "you're doing what you say others do!"

What do you think? Are you seeing trolls like this too?

    • Joey Simms says:

Conservative Christian's don't go around murdering people. If this is what he claims to be, he's confused on what a conservative Christian is. I think that most people know that any true conservative Christian would denounce his behavior. If he claimed to be the man on the moon, his claim wouldn't make it true.

  7. Bowmanave says:

Michelle Bachmann, Senator Jim DeMint, Ken Buck, Rick Perry…don't forget the members of "The Family." There's also Doug Coe and Edwin Meese.

Not to mention the failures; Chritine O'Donnell, Sharon Angle, Sarah Palin…the list goes on.

    • Leah Burton says:

It is a huge list and my next project is a book titled, "The Charts" which outlines visually all these cross-pollinated connections. 'Seeing' how inter-connected they are is the only way to grasp the size.
