We are learning more with each passing moment about the motivation behind the killings in Tuscon and the direct attempt to assassinate Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. For those of you who have not seen this yet, here is 4 minutes from an interview with her on CNN in March 2010 as she talks about Tea Party violence, damage to her Tuscon office and Sarah Palin’s gunsight map that listed Giffords as one of the targeted. Pay close attention to the segment at the 2:10 – 2:37 minute mark:
The authorities are looking for accomplices indicating that this was not a sole gunman gone mad, but a co-ordinated assault plan. We are learning that Loughner may have been intentionally recruited directly because of his mental instability which targeted him by this ideological anti-immigration militia group (I will tell you more about them as we pull together more details) as a perfect “patsy”. He has numerous paranoid anti-government sovereignty citizen views and his mental delusions are profound making him an easy recruit used to the twisted advantage of cowards.
This has the markings of premeditation given that the gun was purchased on November 30, 2010 – post mid-term elections – at the Sportsman’s Warehouse.
I am not, nor will I suggest, that this is a product of conservatives, Republicans or even Tea Partiers per se…but it IS the hate-filled rhetoric of the Right Wing side of American politics, whether they want to claim any responsibility for this or not. What has been emanating from some of its most vocal rogue members has laid the groundwork for this type of violence.

They may be self-anointed (Palin). They may barge on to stages and crown themselves as Republican Leaders (Limbaugh). They may tell a twisted re-write of American history (Beck). They may issue ignorant statements about “2nd Amendment Solutions” (Angle) – And the base of the Republican Party may fight over whether to kick their asses or kiss them - what matters is there is no denying that they are – irrefutably – tied to the Republican Party. In media. In word. In Party affiliation behind their names. In practice.
And the Bush’s, Rove’s, and all the other ‘black tie’ conservatives out there who rallied behind these crowds when their votes were pouring in…who now act as if they are dirtied by the association with these outrageous extremists…BITE ME!
Where has your denouncement of this brewing violence been for TWO YEARS??!!
This isn’t random…it takes time for the consequences of these violent words to become real. And it may be too late for the Republican Party/Tea Party organizations to ever wash this dirt off of them. They ‘gin’ them up – turn them loose – and then act stunned when they call the assailants less than human. The Right is on the defensive, so the best they can do is claim that this has nothing to do with the passionate remarks of their “historically peace-loving” members. That there are mentally disturbed people everywhere and no one told them to do this.
Do we really have to point out that if you spew hatred it is only a matter of time before one of your unstable followers take matters into their own hands? Do we really?? …this is their base, like it or not!
More to come…
