Below is a 3 minute video produced by Brave New Films entitled, “The Texas Textbook Massacre”. It is presented succinct and to the point, yet leaves us with an important action step we can take to stop these extremists in their quest to indoctrinate our children and create a nation of uninformed Sheeples. Contact the Texas Legislature…even if you are not a resident of that state. Their politicized Board of Education has directly impacted America as a whole and we deserve to have a say in this egregious decision as well.
The TFN points out a very, very important argument and that is curriculum decisions should be determined by teachers and true history experts…NOT publicly elected members who are no more fit to teach their own children than our own, thank you.
For those of you who are able to tune into the radio program tonight…this is an excellent precursor to that show. Chris Rodda will explain to all of us why the use of David Barton was not remotely close to “expert” advice, yet that is who led their orchestra of religious zealotry.

Thank for posting this. Most Texans are not happy with the decision of a few. The TX legislature needs to hear from as many people as possible from out of state. I will pass this around and hope others do also.
Thank you, Sally!! That is exactly what we need…for people to feel there is something they can do to fight back. I greatly appreciate your willingness to take action.
I hate to be the sourpuss here, but we're not worried about creating a nation of uninformed sheeple. We already have that. The fact that the Tea Party even exists proves it. Or creationists, or reconstructionists, or the Constitution Party. The fact that Beck, Limbaugh, Coulter, Palin, Hannity, and so many others have a following proves it. No – what we're really worried about is that movement conservativism succeeds to the point of changing enough of our laws that they can move in and take over completely. They are well on their way. This cabal of religious right zealots, right wing think tanks and giant corporations are working together to further their agenda. They have an extensive network infiltrating everything from local school boards to national media to stacked courts to steeplejacking churches. Each arm of the cabal is arrogant enough to believe that they will be the ones to wield the authoritarian rule of the nation. It's going to get very ugly if we don't stop this now and reverse the damage already done.

Righ on guys! And can you believe Obama keeps a faith based outreach…unaccountable to any vote? How the hell are these people in his admin. Did we vote a Prayer in Chief or a President…Really. Both sides are way too religious. Just teach the docuements of our founding. Oh wait, that's racist. Just teach them how to fork over their paychecks so everyone gets the same..unless you work in the beltway.
