Separation of Church & State=1 ~ Christian Dominionists=0

Queen Esther is displeased…darn it! And ranting about it on her Facebook page. (You can tell when it is truly her own contribution…the writing is shorter with fewer multi-syllabic words).

The Anointing

“My, have things changed. I was honored to have Rev. Franklin Graham speak at my Governor’s Prayer Breakfasts. His good work in Alaska’s Native villages and his charitable efforts all over the world stem from his servant’s heart. In my years of knowing him, I’ve never found his tempered and biblically-based comments to be offensive – in fact his words have been encouraging and full of real hope.

It’s truly a sad day when such a fine patriotic man, whose son is serving on his fourth deployment in Afghanistan to protect our freedom of speech and religion, is dis-invited from speaking at the Pentagon’s National Day of Prayer service. His comments in 2001 were aimed at those who are so radical that they would kill innocent people and subjugate women in the name of religion.

Are we really so hyper-politically correct that we can’t abide a Christian minister who expresses his views on matters of faith? What a shame. Yes, thing have changed.”

- Sarah Palin

Oh things have indeed changed, Sister Sarah! The co-opting by Christian Dominionists of a National All-inclusive Pray Day has been exposed. And boy howdy, they are not happy! And you know what happens when the Queen is displeased…she rallies a cry for protest to her fan base that she proudly pronounces, “cling to their constitution, god and guns”!

The exclusion of other faiths is not subtle. In their own words…

“The National Day of Prayer Task Force’s mission is to communicate with every individual the need for personal repentance and prayer, mobilizing the Christian community to intercede for America and its leadership in the seven centers of power: Government, Military, Media, Business, Education, Church and Family.”

Hmmm…did you catch this? There it is in front of God and everybody!

The 7 Mountains Mandate!

For those of you who are new to my site, I have written extensively about the 7MM. Click the video link to the right on my sidebar and acquaint yourself with their own promotional video for the 7MM, then this will resonate more for you.

The National Day of Prayer Task Force goes even further by specifically banning non-Christian Dominionist groups from NDPTF events:

“The National Day of Prayer Task Force was a creation of the National Prayer Committee for the expressed purpose of organizing and promoting prayer observances conforming to a Judeo-Christian system of values. People with other theological and philosophical views are, of course, free to organize and participate in activities that are consistent with their own beliefs. This diversity is what Congress intended when it designated the Day of Prayer, not that every faith and creed would be homogenized, but that all who sought to pray for this nation would be encouraged to do so in any way deemed appropriate. It is that broad invitation to the American people that led, in our case, to the creation of the Task Force and the Judeo-Christian principles on which it is based.”

By the way, click here to see just WHO their “Leadership” is. And when you do, let me just tell you…it is a blatant Christian Dominionist Club. To give you just one direct line connection, the NDPTF shows Mrs. Bill Bright as their “co-chair”. Now click back on the 7MM link and look at whose name is in the first sentence. It is like “Where’s Waldo?” because there are so many more in this heap!

Every time I introduce Christian Dominionism people immediately say in disbelief, “but I’ve never heard of them!” My response is that they are right in front of us, walking among us and pulling their antics out in plain sight. When I connect the dots, the light bulbs of realization cast off a blinding light. And here we have an exemplary example of exactly what I have been talking about.

As a result of the stand we at the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) took against allowing a biased Christian Dominionist, Franklin Graham, to speak on behalf of America – who they have declared a country based in Christianity – at our Pentagon…they are losing their minds and reverting to their tired ol’ refrain that once again they are being persecuted.

Yep, the “oh we are just well-meaning folk that love Jesus, America and want to pray for those who need to be saved” Christians. After all, Graham himself said that it’s not the Muslim he hates, it’s their religion. Gee, where have we heard that before?

So, as the media broadcasts this story across the airwaves, Internet, TV and print…remember the 7MM when you hear their decries of innocent compassion and love for all. They are frauds with a very dangerous agenda!

More to come on this…for now I have to get back to answering a slice of the hate mail we are getting at MRFF from these lovely Christian Dominionists. Man! I really don’t think Jesus would approve of their language or threats!

I’m just sayin’…..

  1. Great points, Leah. I've been treated to plenty of email and rude comments from these folks recently and the hate is absolutely appalling. The language, the stupidity, the rage, the bigotry, the utter failure to comprehend what Jesus was about– it's all appalling.

I am no longer a practicing Christian due to the hate preached in church after 911, but I do pray for these folks; I pray for their souls, hearts, bodies and minds that they are spared from the poison they breed and learn tolerance and love. I have very little hope this can or will happen, but it's all I can think of in the face of such pure ugliness.

  2. I must agree with Ms. Jones. As a non-religious person, I've been following this little hate group with great interest. As you probably know, Ms. Palin and a few of her friends at Faux News are coming perilously close to Sedition. If they incite the right number of wingnuts/neocons (I can't tell the difference any longer), there will be some serious repercussions.

Keep up the good work, educate the people, and remember, Karma's a bitch (grin).

  3. Yes, Sarah we are "so hyper-politically correct that we can’t abide a Christian minister who expresses his views on matters of faith." When those views are bigoted and hateful and expressed publicly as representative of our nation, our military, and all of Christianity – you betcha!

Rev. Barry Lynn, however, passes muster. Let him be the guest speaker and we'll see how much you like what he has to say.

  4. Gee, Sarah, no wonder you " . . . never found his tempered and biblically-based comments to be offensive." Could that be due to the fact that his hate-filled intolerant rants are not directed at you? Could it be that you are as filled as hate as he is? Or, and I believe it is a combination of all three – could it be that you are intellectually incapable of understanding why his comments are so offensive?

BTW, Sarah, no one was fooled by your cookie run to the native villages – you even went to wrong ones. The really needy ones never saw you or Franklin Graham. They are probably better-off not getting your photo-op visits, but really, who can believe you have an ounce of real Christian compassion in you?

Sure was disappointed in how dear Sarah reacted to the trial. Saw her comments as she left the courthouse – just couldn't bring herself to ask for mercy for the young man or forgive him or even express sympathy for his family.

If Franklin Graham were a true Christian whose primary goal was helping those in need, you'd think he would forego the costly private jets, the tailored suits, the big home, et cetera. Charlatans and manipulators – all of them! I would feel pity for them, but I find it difficult to grant them something they refuse to show others.

I do, however, think her inner bitterness and greed is starting to show in her face. It is true, even for those who get work done, as you age, your true character comes out in your face. Maybe that's why she has taken to wearing such heavy makeup – to try to disguise the sad excuse of a heart and soul she has. There is no beauty in hate or intolerance, and it is starting to be evident on Sarah's primary asset. How sad but fitting.

    i applaud this un-invite,
i also respect anybody's rights to their beliefs.
all i ask is keep it in your church and in your home. just because your church, bible, preacher/priest command you to spread the word, you are crossing the line. you have no right to do so in my life.
i am atheist, but i don't go to your church and protest your beliefs. all i ask is simple respect in return. in my community this does not happen.
i want to see this day of prayer ended immediately. there is a national day of prayer every sunday. if your believers can't do this on your own chosen day of worship, don't force it on society. end the prayer breakfasts. get your religion under control.
nobody needs to tell you to not believe. and i will be there for your rights on this.
there is a lot of very evil things happening within the christian politics that the normal churchgoer is not aware of. you should look into their agendas.
keep your faith if you choose. please do not look down your nose at damn good people that don't believe.

  6. Sarah Palin said: “It’s truly a sad day when such a fine patriotic man, whose son is serving on his fourth deployment in Afghanistan to protect our freedom of speech and religion…”

Somebody ought to inform Sarah that freedom of speech and freedom of religion are not ‘Judeo-Christian values’; rather, they are evil, non-canonical, heretical, blasphemous, Satanic ideals… along with other abominations, like ‘human rights’… that were hatched in the vile, diabolical, ‘Enlightenment’, and the ‘Age of Reason’. Should the Dominionists (Theonomists)(Christian Reconstructionists) succeed, those ‘rights’ that Palin is lauding will be the first that we shall lose; indeed, proscribed speech and religious practices may very well carry the death penalty… most likely, by stoning.

  7. GLEN BECK AND PALIN ARE THE GREATEST AMERICANS EVER THARE GREATER THAN THE POPE ! THEY ARE BRINGING BACK CHRISTIAN WHITE AMERICA!

    • Don't yell, Bob…and the correct spelling would be "they're" not thare. And your idle spells his name "Glenn" not Glen. What bible DO you thump? Not the one I am familiar with. I grew up learning about Christ's love and compassion.
