They seem to forget that don’t they? That our prayers are heard as well. Palin on Fox “News” is one I have been praying for. My god! The damage she will do to herself and all her cohorts. This is going to be better than – than – well…you get my excitement. She will no longer be constrained behind her Facebook writers who make attempts at sounding smart and stupid all at the same time. She will be verbally engaged for minutes at a time! (This just makes me giddy…)
The poor GOP…poor, poor GOP. They are really going to wish now that hate wasn’t a crime! Can you just imagine the angst and frustration that they have to restrain. I mean, watching McCain’s head about to explode on the Today Show when asked about Palin by Matt Lauer was priceless! How stupid does he, and the rest of them think we really are? You don’t have to be a student of psychology to pick up on the body language and over reactions. It must be killing him to have to spout words of respect and support for a woman that he couldn’t tolerate sharing air space with during the campaign!
If the GOP leaders (who ever and where ever “they” are) don’t back-peddle really fast and distance themselves from the Fox Party of Amurikan Hatriots - they will lose that dental floss-size thread of credibility they are all swinging on. (sorry, every once in awhile I have to stop typing so I can belly laugh!)
Okay…I have to go call and subscribe to Fox News now…I finally have something to watch over there!

Meh, their belief in OSAS is gonna keep the NARasites from caring if she rips herself a new one.
I always know when McCain is lying. He gets a cheesy look on his face, gives that little heh, heh, type of laugh, and one side of his face gets an involuntary tic. Matt Lauer had him on the ropes in that interview! I was so glad that McCain came out of the interview looking like the petty, no account, dishonorable politician that he is. She played the game well enough to become governor, but she was definitely out of her depth on the national stage. I read on MMFA today that she admitted, 6 years after we invaded Iraq, that she thought that Saddam Hussein was the mastermind behind 9/11. I can't stand listening to her or watching her speak. because I know what she's saying is packed full of lies and inaccuracies. Now she's saying she won't make any money from the Tea Party Convention, and that she'll donate the money to politicians for their campaigns. I feel pretty certain that this was not what she had planned to do with the $100,000 speaker's fee she will collect. It would seem that she'd not accept a fee at all, and let the organization distribute the money to the candidates.
Your coin/seal needs to have "In God we trust" written along the edge.
I will be amused to see if Sarah can muster on camera a coherent comment beyond "You Betcha!"
Max – please. Give her SOME credit. She has 'flowing to hungry markets' down to a science.
I'm not quite so optimistic just yet. I won't be surprised if her appearances are few and far between. She'll know the questions AND the expected responses ahead of time. The responses will be on 5X7 index cards with a teleprompter for backup. But if I hear "flowing to hungry markets" one more time, I'll know she's on her own and will be very optimistic then.
She won't understand the questions…and won't be able to follow the answer cue cards to save her black little soul…let the optimism begin!
Oh Psshaw! What's to not understand? It won't be Katie Couric asking questions. It will be her black souled idiot cohorts. O'Reilly, Beck, Hannity. Brit Hume. Now there is a soul mate for her. They can talk about saving Buddhists. Besides, she's been sounding like an idiot for over a year – hasn't dented her yet.
Orders from Murdock to make her welcome and look good. Funny thing – I get the feeling O'Reilly and Beck don't really like her and they're stuck gritting their teeth and sucking up.
I think she will be hated by staff and show hosts within a few months. Now THAT I can get optimistic about.
I, too, think this is a 2 edged sword.
I agree this will expose her to the undecideds, but she now has a platform to get her ideas out.
I agree that she will be so scripted that she will sound coherent at least to her followers.
It will also lose her those supporters who have rationalized up til now all of her inequities. There is only so much that you can atone for if you have a shred of sanity. She will alienate plenty because of that. The rest of 'em? They are buying the Palin kool aid in bulk!
You should compare all of her transcripts (painful, I know) and see just how often she says the same thing. She seems to use the same phrases and talking points over and over.
Pay attention to her use of what is referred to as "code speak". We are working on a Lexicon containing those phrases and words so that we can all listen for them in stealth candidate speeches.
Especially for those of us who are learning to hear the dog whistles and see the fnords, eh? It sounds so conspiratorial when it's absolutely true. :/
Sarah will take the money and then "donate" through her PAC. Isn't this "money Laundering"?
In the name of North, South, East and West Korea also, thank you, evangelical Jesus!
Leah, in case you didn't see it yesterday afternoon on Gryphen's blog, go check it out. It is only a short clip (which is about all I can tolerate with both Beck and Palin); he read to her from his journal the night before about meeting her! Like some high school kid with a crush. It is priceless, but I feel even sorrier now for his wife. If she is going to sound/look at all like she know what she is talking about, she will have to be spoon fed the questions before hand, and practice, like it's a speech with teleprompters. Billo gave her more than on chance to look and sound intelligent two days ago. Of course, she blew it.
Her disdain for Beck was enjoyable to watch. It was her blathering about being a reluctant candidate and sacrificing to serve that piqued my interest. Post forthcoming…
I've only seen clips of Sarah on Faux News, and I have to say she did not look comfortable with Bill O. Perhaps she has read the Mackris sexual harassment transcript and she KNOWS what a creepy guy Bill is. Full transcript can be read at http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/1013043mackr...
She and Glenn will never be soul mates. No chemistry there. No doubt, Sarah has had it ingrained her from birth that Mormonism is a "cult" and you know what that means.
Nope, I still say she and Sean have the best chemistry. They are both enthralled with each other. Watch their body language the next time she appears with him. Neither feel threatened by the other and both feel enhanced by the other politically and spiritually.
That's just my observation as someone who is getting to view the circus for free.
Leah, watch out for Thune from S.D. I think he will be the squeaky clean Repug candidate in '12. He has everything the conservatives are looking for. http://www.gop12.com/2008/11/profile-john-thune-i...
Thank you! Thune is now on our list and I am getting closer and closer to launching the new web site that will be tied at the hip of this one. The new one is not a blog but a Call to Action site where we will maintain the Stealth Candidate Watch List and more.
Every one…keep those names coming!
The circus at Fox is just that…and you are right. There is no love lost between Beck & Palin. He is as much an abomination being Mormon as a homosexual in her eyes. And don't think for a minute she has forgotten his quip just weeks ago about her being in the kitchen. O'Reilly is another misogynist that cringes in her presence. Hannity? He is a consummate brown-noser and opportunist – they are indeed a match made in heaven!
Aieee! I read Thune's page, and after "Why he can win," they wrote, "Movie-star good lucks."
Thune won that seat by only a few hundred votes, and his campaign manager also was affiliated with the phone-jamming of Democrats in New Hampshire.
Thune is even described as an "ecumenical legislator". I am using that description on our new Action site. He may not be overtly stealth…yet he is. People need to have the facts about their religious ideologies and Dominion Theology tendencies front and center and not just a "isn't s/he a nice church-going homespun politician". We should all be on alert about these politicians who would embrace theocracy. Thank you for bringing this one up!
Andrew Sullivan has been posting some increasingly interesting pieces on the potential national influence of Palin and Fox under the control of Roger Ailes. Leah, I think you would find his comments very familiar, and we should all find them prescient and chilling.
http://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com/the_daily_d...
Yes…I saw that. I have been shouting into a vacuum this past year about the dangers of dismissing Palin altogether, but I am not going to give Fox News, Ailes and Palin as much weight as Sullivan. She will delight her base, and alienate others. This is a delightful conservative civil war…and I am going to do my best to contribute to the divide. I truly want the Eisenhower republicans to come out the winners in this battle and reclaim their Party! You are correct in finding them chilling…indeed!
