While running around conservative pockets of America, appealing to her “base”, referring to Obama as “backassword”, she is fueling the tide of hate against our president. For gods sake people…we must get the message out. This woman is a walking talking disaster. Backasswords? What in the hell is that? Could this be why even republicans such as Haley Barbour feel this way…?

It’s that political hot-potato act that I referred to several times. This will continue because it is all about money for republicans like Barbour. If ideology was the platform there would be no hesitancy. But they know she can raise money and that is the elixir that they are addicted to.
And who from the Republican Party is standing up and making firm statements that this kind of call to violence is not only NOT endorsed by the true conservatives in this country…but that it is reprehensible!?
It is time to put the pressure on the outlets for this garbage, even though we know it will resurface just like a bad penny on some other hatriot site.

I was years ago in favor of doing things fiscaly conservative. Now i think otherwise.
Most of these people are caught up in their game.
The game is playing as we speak. How long can our economy live on promise. The world lies on promise. what we need is a language of barter. Mine on yours ..forget the Euro forget the Dollar I have something what will you trade for it. That is where we are headed. We have known since the 70's that this was coming. Keeping religion out of it would help but that is not what the masses understand. Truelly we cannot let the religions take over the reformation that need be done. The Earth has only so any years left.
Since Palin's supporters are the uneducated, prejudiced, who are angry, but not quite sure what to be angry about she is very dangerous when she continues to make short simple hate statements that can stick in people's minds. Backasswards is a play on the word assbackwards. It is popular in the south and I believe that was who she was speaking to.
I was at Columbus last night where Palin was signing books. The crowd was lined up around the strip mall. There was a lone elderly lady standing across from the crowd with a sign Which proclaimed "I am a Real American". Her sign read: Palin- LIES to cover up; USES her children as props; BLAMES others and QUITS before done. While I was listening several of Palin's fans taunted the old lady by calling out that she was an "old mush head who would not be lifted up in the Rapture". One lady kept passing by saying the big problem with the old lady was that she was leaving God out of the picture. One person was shouting about Revelation in the Bible and how it is revealed that Palin is sent by god to be the person to lead us in the end of days. One person drove by and called out to her "You are going to Hell". A group of high school students came and questioned the old lady. When they heard the taunts they went and bought material for a sign that said "We are the future of the Nation" and stood by the old lady for most of the night. The crowd shouted out at them too, believing that they were some how against "their" Sarah and for Obama. The crowd warned the students that they would grow up to be just like the old lady if they didn't get right with the Lord. I talked with the young people and they said that they were not informed enough to be for or against Palin or Obama but were there to learn and support free speech. The majority of the free speech they heard shouted at them were negative comments. I did not see one person of color in line but many people with darker skin drove by and gave a thumbs up to the old lady. There was one person who acted Christian and brought cups of chocolate for the small group of peaceful protesters at the end of the cold evening and two people came by to say that they did not agree with the sign but felt they had the right to free speech.

My heartfelt good wishes to the lone protester, and to the young kids who were brave and principled enough to have so sponaneously supported her! To the woman who brought them chocolate, my best wishes as well. She may have other ideals than most of us here, but she showed kindness.
To contradict the assembled majority in a highly emotional situation always takes courage.There is a lesson in this for us all!

"Bassackwards" is how "a**backwards" was commonly used in the deep south by polite old men when there were ladies within earshot… actually, that word sounds a bit anachronistic as well ..:-)

Palin is the de facto leader of this Christian taliban; she endorsed Glen Beck on her OFFICIAL site.

Sarah benefits from this because Beck does her dirty work; the GOP benefit from it too, and they are 'removed' from Beck and Sarah …..

Some of the hate speech that I see on the banners and signs of conservatives is nauseating. The implied racist message and/or overt racist message is often something that I would think would fall under a category not protected by the first amendment.
