Spinning Out of Control, No Bottom in Sight…Just a Few Asses!

Oooookeeey dokey! It is disturbing to even have to write about this absurdity, but to ignore it is a mistake. This past week we had to endure three separate temper tantrums by darlings of the conservatives. Prejean, Parnell and of COURSE Palin. I am starting to see a pattern. It’s Saturday and I feel like I am doing a piece for Entertainment Tonight…oh well…here we go.

Prejean…give me a break! The good lil ‘c’hristian girl who tried to talk the guy she shacked up with for 4 days in a San Diego hotel once, into saying she was 17 when she filmed the masturbation tapes of herself. Honestly expecting this guy to admit to statutory rape to protect her as this being a teenage love struck action that she regrets. Then she goes on Hannity where she declares this as the biggest mistake she ever made, but at the time she “thought he was the one”…decrying the never-ending media attention that pursues her! Oh…that’s right, she is on a book tour, garnering as much attention as she can muster. It is just all so unfair!

In the next breath she praises Palin and Bachman as wonderful mothers and “brilliant” women who are persecuted just as she is by the “Liberal Media”. Uh, yeah…right. Which brings us to Palin and her whine this week…

Palin stomped her lil red heels in indignation that someone in that Associated Press (AP) “Liberal Media” obtained a copy of her book, “Going Rogue” and excerpts from it are being written about…such things as how Katie Couric and Charlie Gibson relentlessly badgered and condescended to her. (Poor dear). What are people thinking? Just because she wrote all these petty snarky whines of persecution in a book…what? Does that mean people are going to actually read and comment on them? How would she ever have seen this coming!

Just another example of unfair persecution against these humble ‘c’hristian women who just want to be left alone…uh-huh.

Forever a "Bridesmaid"

Parnell’s contribution this week was just as immature and arrogant as the girls. President Obama made a scheduled stop in Anchorage, Alaska on Thursday on his way to Asia and was blatantly snubbed by Palin’s replacement, Alaska Governor Sean Parnell. Sean just couldn’t find the time to greet the President because he just HAD to attend a meeting less than 3 miles away at the Captain Cook Hotel for the Associated General Contractors of Alaska annual conference. This conference began on Wednesday and does not conclude until today, Saturday.

But alas, poor Sean Milquetoast just could not see clear to shift his crucial speech to a banquet audience on “Excellence in Safety Awards” in order to squeeze in time to greet the President of the United States.

Parnell’s rudeness is an embarrassment!

All 3 of these narcissists are embraced by the self-proclaimed conservative patriots rearing their ugly heads with greater and greater verbosity in America. It is not only embarrassing to those of us with a grain of intelligence in our country…it is internationally shameful.

I am always torn when writing about their shenanigans, but this isn’t about ignoring them. To not acknowledge their absurdities won’t magically make them go away. It isn’t the critical exposure given to these idiots that contributes to their ongoing ascendancy. It is the praise and pity for them by millions of people in this country that give them a platform. And it is because of that adulation – I swallow hard – and address their playground politics.

I am not discussing this with a tabloid fascination, but rather to again and again point to concerns over just “how dumb have we become in this country?” That characters such as these who can so blatantly be this immature and hypocritical still be applauded by ANYone, boggles our collective minds! Are we really that simplistic? Does one merely hang a crucifix around ones’ neck to be absolved from any and all contradictory behaviors?

The arrogance with which these ‘c’hristians operate knows no bounds. I hate to even speculate about what is next – not just from them, but god forbid, a more ridiculous personality (as if that is possible). I used to think Dan Quayle was as low as we could go. Then George W made Quayle almost appear “not-dumb”. Then Palin, and Bachman, and Boehner, and the teabaggers…I am wondering how this can get more outrageous before they find the bottom of their political IQ tank…and this is just about the 3 “P”s of this past weeks news…Prejean, Palin and Parnell…

When you thump the side of the Rebiblican Think Tank…it echoes!
