Again…again…(πάλι the Greek spelling)…that is the claim of this overly enthusiastic Palin preacher. That the word for again in Greek is “Palin”…
This was carried on palingates.com and progressivealaska.com just to name two, but I felt after my Thanksgiving hiatus I needed to chime in and make some connections associated with this video beyond the contrived prophecy this woman claims to be imparting about the word “again”.
This takes place at the “church” of Chuck Pierce, Glory of Zion who is one of the “apostles” in the C.Peter Wagner family that includes Sarah Palin’s spiritual advisor, Mary Glazier. One sentence and four connections, that is how splintered this picture is to paint.
Chuck leads in Intercessory Prayer gatherings and seminars that claim:
“Prophets pave the way for apostles to execute God’s plan, and Prophetic gatherings provide opportunities for the Prophetic call on individual lives to be activated. Many prophetic streams gather for these powerful convocations.
The various Deliverance seminars and gatherings provide a rich platform for one-of-a-kind training opportunities from international experts in the much-needed ministry of deliverance.
Intercession paves the way for the glory of God to be established on the earth. Intercession/Intercessory prayers…some of us have never heard these words until Palin came into focus and wove them in to her ramblings. But they are worthy of learning.

“Sarah Palin joined the Wasilla prayer group of C. Peter Wagner apostle Mary Glazier in 1989Another Wagner apostle, J. lee Grady, has confirmed Palin knew Glazier and joined Glazier’s prayer group. A third Wagner apostle, Jan-Aage Torp, has stated that Palin is currently still in Glazier’s prayer group which, in the 1990’s became part of C.. Peter Wagner’s U.S. Spiritual Warfare Network.”
Mary Glazier, served as Alaska Director for the U.S. Strategic Prayer Network (now re-named as the Global Apostolic Prayer Network). According to Glazier’s own testimony Sarah Palin, at 24, joined Glazier’s Wasilla, Alaska prayer group in 1989, shortly after (according to Glazier) ‘God began to speak to her [Palin] about entering into politics.’
Mary Glazier is one of 500 apostles in C. Peter Wagner’s International Coalition of Apostles (ICA). As described in an October 25, 2008 New York Times story, YouTube Videos Draw Attention to Palin’s Faith, another ICA apostle, Charisma Magazine editor J. Lee Grady, confirmed to New York Times reporter Laurie Goodstein that Palin had known Glazier and been in Glazier’s prayer group.
A third ICA apostle, Oslo based Norwegian evangelist Jan-Aage Torp, wrote an excited entry on September 6, 2008 for his blog with the heading, “Palin is a Prayer Warrior and Pentecostal !” and Torp stated, in the post, that Sarah Palin was still active in Mary Glazier’s prayer network. In an October 2008 appearance on Focus on the Family head James Dobson’s radio show, Sarah Palin thanked prayer warriors across America for their efforts.

It is the place where things begin and end.
You may realize that some of the Alaskan islands are on the other side of the Dateline meaning that the day begins and ends in Alaska . The Lord said that Alaska is a gateway for the Ancient of Days to come into the nation . The Lord told Dutch (back in Alaska ) to tell the people of Alaska to look forward into their destiny. Alaska has a assignment to open doors and a place where prophets and intercessors were trained. It turns out that the Governor who was raised in a Pentecostal Church , according to our newspaper, founded the prayer movement in Alaska .
We will be having the last of our 90 days beginning in a major gathering Sept 11th. The significance of this is that Chuck Pierce had prophecied that there would be 7 years of war and Sept 11 marks the end of that time and the entering of the 8th year. Someone said that 44 = 4+4 or 8.
Dutch then decreed she will enter the White House. Now, if you don’t know him, he is cautious, has his feet on the ground, and never goes of ‘half cocked’ when it comes to prophecy. He said that he believes as of Friday the U.S. has come into a new level of alignment with the Lord and His purposes. By the way, the Governor will be the 44th Vice President. He continued to declare that she will be the Margaret Thatcher of America including that she would be President one day. Many other things came forth. I literally thought I would explode because the Lord had shown me many of these same things yesterday.”
Dutch Sheets, Chuck Pierce, Mary Glazier, Franklin Graham, Cindy Jacobs, Sarah Palin, are just a few of the people profiting from the BIG business of scaring money out of millions of followers…and making a very nice living as a result. ALL these people need to be revealed for who and what they truly are. They stop at nothing, including numerology as noted above to make their case. Twisting and mangling passages from the Bible to state their nonsense such as the major stretch that Galatians 4:19 somehow for-tells that Palin is the “chosen one”.
It is time now to take these people and their organizations apart in greater depth as Alex and I work with fellow researchers and writers to put this puzzle into terms that we can all understand, waking up the majority of Americans to their manipulations.
It is convoluted. It is laborious. But it is necessary as we witness Palin gallivanting across the United States proselytizing to bible-belt America and on military installations. From Fox to Pat Robertson’s Christian Broadcasting Network. What ever her aspirations or perceived Divine mandate…I can assure you! No good will come from her for the nearly 80% of Americans who do NOT share her faith in a God that rewards the opportunists on the backs of the desperate.

No, I do not know, except that it takes two to procreate and opposites to balance. I shall leave biblical explanations to those who know more about those writings, but will try to find out more about the number "2" in light of ancient traditions, which were absorbed by subsequent religions, to facilitate dominance over the older faiths.
Triple repetition of the same number is an ancient concept, its reasons grounded in observations of nature: spring-summer-autumn, birth-life-death, maiden-mother-crone, seed-ripening-harvest. The fourth season is winter, the time of of the fallow furrow, and rest and restoration before the cycle begins anew. (Now I am intrigued and off to find out about "2:22)

The only significance of 2:22 is that which one is determined to find. A healthy dose of critical reading and skeptical thinking is useful here. For instance, I would question the truthfulness of the claim to start with. And even if it were true – so what? If I tried hard enough, and had a prophet to back me up, I could make 2:22 mean that Sarah Palin will become Pope and owe me 2 million dollars in the year 2011.

How convenient that the NAR has reinstated the office of prophet. Anytime they need to raise extra money, influence the vote, interfere with international politics, etc. they just call up their nearest handy-dandy prophet to 'share' the latest 'word of the lord.'
This is the hardest dominionist group to get a handle on. Since they have a steady flow of new prophecies, the group's teachings and plans are in a constant state of evolution. Watch for them to modify their messages as world events change and interfere with their plans.

As for the video – I would like to see some credentials to indicate that Debra Degar is an expert in Greek. I know nothing about Greek – absolutely nothing. But googling " πάλι " keeps bringing up the word páli which is quite different from Palin. For starters, it has a diacritical mark over the 'a.' Diacritical marks generally mean that the word with them has a different usage or meaning than the same word without them or a different pronunciation. Secondly, 'páli' is missing the 'n' on the end. Wouldn't that be like going from dent to den, or pantry to panty?
I'd love to see a Greek scholar do some captioning over the video pointing out all of Debra's errors. I suspect there are more than a few.
I had Greek in college and am writing about the Gospels. Palin (παλιν) is a common word and does indeed mean "again." So what? Sounds mean different things in different languages. Are we going to shun Christmas presents because "Gift" is German for "poison"? Or claim that GWB spoke for God because Moses heard God's voice from a "bush"? ("Bushah" in Hebrew means "shame," BTW.) It is boggling that anyone takes this seriously.
Palin is her husband's name, anyway. If anyone wants to play the name game, Sarah's maiden name is "Heath," etymologically the root of "heathen" (!). "Heathen," "people from the heath," like Latin "paganus," "pagan," originally meant "country folk," those who clung to traditional religion and were slower to be Christianized than urban dwellers.

Heath is also synonymous with moor. There are many frightening tales of "fogs and bogs" in Northern German and East Anglican folklore. The moors can actually, even in this century, be intimidating places when the dense night fogs become quite disorienting to a driver.
I love heather, which grows upon the sandy uplands of the moors…but… the ancient marsh/moor mummies are still being found on occasion… their once pale skin turned deep brown by the tannic acids of the bogs. Just a bit of trivia this Sunday evening…

Yes, formation of moors is related to the Ice Ages. They are depressions in the soil filled with millennia of decayed plant materials. When I was a kid post WWII, I helped with the cutting of the peat. It is backbreaking work, not only for the men in pit, but also for those of us in line passing the sopping blocks on to each other until they got to the point where the women were stacking them to dry over the summer. Each family was allotted a certain amount and it was carefuly rationed. It provided us with fuel for cooking and a bit of warmth… not much, as it burns for but a short time.
The progression of peat is brown coal, which was mined until fairly recently in East Germany. As is peat, it is a very dirty burning fuel. (Just another bit of trivia…;-)…)

In medieval Germany "Gift" and "Praesent" had both positive and negative connotations. To be
"praesentiert" to a ruler could mean advancement or incarceration and death. Conversely, a ruler could never be sure either: Shakespeare used Paracelsus in Hamlet to explain that each gift/present can be a poison, and that each poison can be a gift, that it is merely the dosage which makes the difference.
To bring it into today's lives: When a gift is presented with strings attached, it becomes a poison with which to terminate a present relationship .
Don't know if this wordplay bears merit, but at least it may give food for thought.

Funny how the entire Bible is written following astrology warns against messing with astrology. I could go on and on about contradictions, comparisons of Greek mythology and other religions thousands of years before Christ with similar stories. Which is what all religions are stories passed on by people since people have been here.

Human beings are 'hard wired' to be pattern seeking animals. It is one of the traits that enabled our earliest ancestors to survive. Detecting and identifying patterns, be it for weather, seasons, paths thought the jungle, animal tracks and scat, etc. were useful when man learned to translate that information into successful hunts, shelter, escape routes, and so on.
Patterns in science are useful. Patterns in religion are useless crap, trying to force meaning into imaginary scenarios. We can build TVs and computers, cure diseases, and photograph galaxies millions of light years away, but we're still hooked on our voodoo.

That said, all I know is this: we have to keep trying to get people to understand the value of logic, the value of independent research to get at the underpinnings of what is little but a reliance opon parables of male assertions of superiorities of their part of the species, which engendered the Paternalistic Belief Stystems. FtD – since you brought it up, I will share what little I know of those underpinnings. As far as we know thus far, religion was born in nature and goddess cults. It wasn't until man figured out the connection between sex and babies that the shift to patriarchal societies emerged. We know this in part from art and artifacts that can be accurately dated. Aside from nature cults, all the oldest religious icons are of goddesses – with large breasts, wide hips, and pregnant (or fat) bellies. Clearly early man associated life with women and their venerated icons were female. Later, patriarchal societies have art depicting phalluses and written references to semen (seed). Some scholars think that the Old Testament Abrahamic tradition of denigrating women indicates that the transition was fairly recent and did not go smoothly.

Obviously, there is geater demand for "magical cures" when times are perceived as uncertain by certain segments in the population already indoctrinated to suspend logic so as to take parables verbatim, They are rapidly sliding back into a Second Coming,… of the medieval Burning Times! What really became the trigger point for the inquisition was the female shaman/medicine/wise woman's knowledge of abortifacients and their influence upon womens' capabilities of preventing conception and/or termination of pregnancies via herbal infusions etc.
