Palin’s Pals are Trogging…

Danger astroturfHave we touched a nerve? Apparently…yes. Isn’t it something that they consistently resort to name-calling and insults? This is an article by one of Palin’s most devoted fans who writes for Texas 4 Palin.

Todd needs to worry about guys like Josh…his devotion is more than a bit odd.

Leftist moonbat hate bloggers, not content to just smear Sarah Palin, have gone after Lynn Vincent, her collaborator on Going Rogue, as well.

by Josh Painter

Gawker, the cesspool of the world wide web, titled its Vincent hit piece “Sarah Palin’s Ghostwriter Pals Around With Racists and Wackos”:
“Sarah Palin’s book will be awesome because her ghostwriter has abundant experience in shaping the confused, fevered thoughts of religious fanatics into sentences.”

Another dung heap of a site called God’s Own Party? contributes this lofty argument to the discussion:

“This is no coincidence, nor is it to be taken lightly. Lynn Vincent is a devout Dominionist! If there has been ANY lingering doubt that my assertions regarding Palin’s direct ties to dominionism – you may now lay those fears to rest.”

And, lest anyone doubt the urgency of his rantings, the unhinged blogger adds:

“I cannot stress enough how serious this is.”

Then there’s Phil “Hate” Munger at the fanatical Progressive Alaska:

“Palin’s fit with Vincent may be a stroke of sick genius. Imagine Vincent tossing Palin’s verbal herbage into a lethal concoction, designed to spread more hatred of non-whites, urging people to reject the products of interracial marriage, conjuring up the false spirits of the Old South, touting carrying loaded weapons into public meetings, urging citizens to strike out openly and assertively against census workers – and on and on and…”

Yikes, now we feel the sudden need for a long, hot shower. Where is the the Lysol and steel wool?Aside from all of these websites being run by hysterical Leftist extremists, what else do they have in common? It seems that Charles Johnson, who is as convinced that Stacy McCain is a raaaaacist as Andrew Sullivan is of his wacko Trig Troother conspiracy theories, is now a reliable source of hogwash for these and other moonbat bloggers.

They probably don’t know or don’t care that Lynn Vincent is, like Sarah Palin, a good and decent person who works to help the less fortunate. San Diego Union Tribune writer Matthew Hall reports:
It’s not just a younger generation that’s promoting homeless causes.

San Diego writer Lynn Vincent, 47, has helped the homeless for years. She has volunteered in shelters and handed out oranges and soap to people on the street.

She also has collaborated on two memoirs about an art dealer befriending a homeless man. The first memoir, “Same Kind of Different as Me,” has spent 75 weeks on The New York Times best-seller lists. It spawned a second book last month, which continues the two men’s story and includes tales of how the first book changed readers’ lives and inspired social involvement.

Vincent, who is helping Sarah Palin write her memoir, said Americans are now “kind of more aware that the line between poverty and affluence is a little more fluid than they thought.”
But let the moonbat hate bloggers, free of all sin as they are, cast their stones. After all, that bearing of false witness taboo is just for the Christianists and Jooooos, isn’t it?

“Joooooos”? These people are truly unbelievable people…  And Palin has no qualms about this type of loving, caring ‘c’hristian representing her as an ardent defender?

GOP & AshamedThis is a huge reason why there are so many politically secular republicans who have turned their back on the GOP. Their Party has become an embarrassment. Lacking the ability to articulate an opposing view without reverting to the level of elementary-age name-calling, they have fractured the GOP and thrown it into a chaotic state that may not be recoverable.

So I will continue informing and researching, as I am sure my friend Phil will do on his site “Progressive Alaska”, and they will continue to take pot-shots at us as we expose their extremism.

"Jooooo"?! That's a new one on me, and I am one. Now I'll mull over whether it's a better or worse thing to be called than "Jewess," which mercifully has passed from the language. Unless Josh Vincent decides to bring it back?

    • Pay no attention to the names they call you. They probably call me a n!99er, but that's okay. I know who/what I am, and so do you, Mrs. BB. I believe they do this in an attempt to create divisions among groups who could/would normally get along with each other if only some people like this non-author would just keep his mouth closed, and his opinions to himself.

      • I agree…some of it I wish were true! For instance, awhile back one of them wrote an article about me and in their attempt to degrade me wrote that I am a Life Coach who pulls down $500 an hour! OH…if only that were so! :)

    • The hate is palatable…and name calling is injurious, but it reveals more of their character than ours. Antisemitism is alive and well in the world and growing in the 'c'hristian circles of the United States…sadly. It is a large component of the attacks on Mikey Weinstein.

  2. Good post Leah – you are right on the money. I'm Catholic and am offended for all Jews that Painter resorts bashing Jooooos. Republicans have no other way of dealing with opposing views other than to call names and act like schoolyard bullies.

Look at open thread at Mudflats. Some of us attempted to join up at Team Sarah to offer another point of view one person was accepted, made one post and was scrubbed in a matter of minutes.

Republicans don't understand honest debate or valid opposition, and they certainly don't understand that stating FACTS is simply being honest, rather than following their method of distorting the facts to paint the picture they want. The low-information voters/non-voters who follow Palin so intensely will have a rude awakening in the not too distant future. Of course, those who will continue to believe everything positive about her will tell us it is a vast conspiracy to take her down.

    • Indeed…and that is consistent with their view of persecuted Christians. Victimization is a key stance for them. Every time Palin is mocked, they see this as validation that she is their martyr and an affirmation that she is "chosen".

  3. I saw Ed interview Max Blumenthal on a show "Going Off The Rails On A Crazy Train." The gist of it was that those people are afraid of individual liberty and can't cope with the pressures of democracy. I think the show is recorded at progressivealaska.blogspot.com.

    • True enough. That goes to the core of the type of personality that is easily converted to the status of Sheeple. They really can't handle decisions and freedom. It is so much easier to be fed the information and tell them what the definitive guidelines are than to do the work of thinking for themselves.

  4. Wow! Leah – you got an honorable mention! And he called you unhinged! I just can't think of a higher compliment coming from the right.

  5. Obviously they're fruitbats, but I'd point out that whoever wrote the screed you quoted is unlikely to ever have even met Sarah. Possibly he attended a campaign speech of hers at one point. But Sarah, even as unhinged as she is, can't personally vet everyone who support her.

Not that she wouldn't like to, of course. Truly, the bottom-feeders are coming up to support her.

    • This guy is Josh Painter and it would appear over the last year that he lives to see Palin in the White House. He has written unpleasant things about me in the past, and I am sure he will again. Palin can put a stop to them if she so desired, but it is by her inaction that they flourish and she gives her approval. Believe me…she knows full well that this one is one of her biggest cheerleaders. It is no different than on the campaign trail when she did nothing to stop the hate speak against Obama and others…

      Silence is complicity…

  6. When they turn on you, you know you have hit a nerve. Good work

  7. So, handing out oranges and soap to homeless people means she's not a racist? Brilliant leap of logic there.

    • That's just as bad as baking cookies for your own state's citizens who need fuel and food ALL winter, and we know who did that. Birds of a feather flock together.

      • When the underlying agenda is to control – whether homeless, villagers in dire need, and so on…it is about proselytizing – NOT helping. They do have that quota, ya know!

    • The homeless contribution that Vincent was a part of is itself dominionist-based. There is a post there somewhere…

  8. Leah –

I want to thank you again for opening my eyes to these people. I had NO IDEA.

Here is a good article from the Las Vegas Sun, exposing "The Family," a Dominionist cell near the centers of power in Washington DC, and of the lawmakers who *live there* and pray for god to guide them on governing this country.

    http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2009/jul/19/behin...

"Makes your blood run cold" is a real understatement.

    • Yes…C Street is essentially a "Frat House" for politicians who have been told that they are the "chosen" ones. Funny how they are told that by powerful Dominionists who fully intend to manipulate them while in congress…and absolve these morally superior 'Fratiticians' at every turn no matter how egregious their indiscretions.

Thank YOU for reading and appreciating the seriousness of all of this, Jim!

    • I've begun reading Jeff Sharlett's book on "The Family". It is creepy and frightening to see how invasive they have become in the political arena. The book is not one that can be read from beginning to end without a number of breaks. I frequently feel the need to go wash my hands!

  9. I don't have a problem with name calling. I rather enjoy calling out all the crazy wacko nutjob bottom-feeder (thank you Ivyfree) idiotic lunatic rightwing fringe. (deep breath)

However, racial and ethnic slurs are unacceptable. A person's color, race, or ethnicity is not a determiner of one's level of intelligence, compassion, dignity, class, or manners. Their religious beliefs and lack of education are.

  10. What I find amusing about Palinistas is that criticizing her is somehow a sign that I'm "afraid" of her. How can one be afraid of such a cartoon character? Its hard to take Palin seriously. She's the biggest joke to ever emerge onto our political scene.

I joined the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee page on Facebook just to understand why people like her. Every time I ask them to give me an example of her background or experience that would make her a strong leader, they answer by attacking Obama. They can't answer a simple question!

It will be fun to see their reaction when Palin either does not run in 2012 or her campaign is completely annihilated by Romney's. They will hopefully be demoralized to the point of not voting in November.

    • Oh…they will vote! They will fall on their sword for this woman…as unbelievable as it is. What really makes her dangerous is the dumber she is, the more "we" dismiss her, and the more they defend her. It is a vicious cycle…but one we must pay attention to.

And you are correct, they cannot articulate an argument…hence all the nasty name calling. What makes me shake my head sadly at all this is just how many of them there are. We really have dumbed ourselves down in this country. It's a shame…

  11. It's strange that Sarah's following includes those that really know her.Like or dislike her and it winds up as publicity for her.I think it's time to coordinate a movement similar to those that work for her.One with a credible agenda ,facts that are indisputable( God knows there are plenty of those ) one without malice just truth , a site thats a collaboration of those who have outed her for what she really is . I got to know her thru the many blogs in Alaska ! It took time to research her background ( She just did'nt ring true as a VP nominee ) I came to believe She was a dangerous person (And still is ) I could just as well have given her the benefit of the doubt.Theres something about large numbers of people tooting the same horn that makes a big difference ,a really big difference if it's all in one place.Just a thought !

    • It's a great thought! I still have my web site over at theopalinism.com/blog and it is "parked" for right now. But to run with you idea…we could use that as the site for all things factual about her. I will toss that out to you all and let you give me feedback. I do think that your suggestion has great merit. It would have to be a community run blog because it is all I can do to keep up with all my research, writing and blogging here…but I like your idea!

  12. Where does Josh Painter fit into the Palin food chain?

    • He is one of her original fans that pushed hard to get her into the spotlight. The guy is clearly over the top when it comes to her and he has company. He used to write at a blog called http://www.redstate.com/josh_painter/, but seems to be focusing more exclusively at Texas4palin.com now. He also contributes periodically to conservaatives4palin.com where one or two of his "redstate" buds have migrated. They all are such fans of her that it is a bit disturbing…

    • Josh Painter is also to be found at another pro-Palin website – he and his compadres are scary! One of them even purports to be a Rev………so much for being a christian!
      http://www.thepalination.com/2009/09/besides-sara...

  13. I must say Leah you should be glad with a responce from SUCH an articulate "gentleman". The fact that he was so moved as to comment on your postings is truelly a tribute to your work.
I am now watching those of that gentlemans like in my own community. This interrest has brought on fears of which i did not see before. Like my dentist is not tied to tight. I had to find a new dentist. I used to just shrug my shoulders and pass them off but now i am very aware of trait. Keep up the good work.

    • Thank you…there are way too many of them and because they are truly on the unstable edge of mental health, it is a necessary task to keep an eye on them.
