Michelle Bachman (R) Minnesota, and the “go to” source for Fox News on all things whacked in Congress…may have contributed through her ignorant rantings to the horrific and violent hanging death of a 51 year-old man in Kentucky who was working part time as a census taker.

Anti-government anger eyed after man found with “fed” scrawled across his chest
Kentucky – When Bill Sparkman told retired trooper Gilbert Acciardo that he was going door-to-door collecting census data in rural Kentucky, the former cop drew on years of experience for a warning: “Be careful.”
The 51-year-old Sparkman was found this month hanged from a tree near a Kentucky cemetery with the word “fed” scrawled on his chest, a law enforcement official said Wednesday, and the FBI is investigating whether he was a victim of anti-government sentiment.
“Even though he was with the Census Bureau, sometimes people can view someone with any government agency as ‘the government.’ I just was afraid that he might meet the wrong character along the way up there,” said Acciardo, who directs an after-school program at an elementary school where Sparkman was a frequent substitute teacher.
Fear and paranoia. We keep talking about this and my concerns about the potential for violence escalates each day with the rhetoric and vitriol broadcast by the media, conservatives in Congress, ‘c’hristian hatriots and their accomplices across the blogoshpere – all feeding ignorance, hate and intolerance to an uneducated mass of people who think the government is out to get them.
Are these idiots in the minority? Clearly. But it does not take a majority to engage in violence, and disrupt our sense of safety. And they do not all reside in remote areas out of view of the rest of us. Some are even in Congress! Listen to what Bachman says (if you can stand it) in these clips recently about how the census is a conspiracy that is out to gather information to form internment camps, calling for their fringe followers to rise up and stop the takeover, and then explaining how it is her devout faith in God and her duty as a submissive wife that commanded her to run for Congress.
Okay…so you send out this kind of message, that the census can lead to internment camp rosters…and you don’t think there is potential for violence?
Clay County Kentucky is known to have ongoing battles with a population engaged in prescription drug and methamphetamine abuse.
Bachman’s Rhetoric is Dangerous!
That was back in March of 2009, and he was right! This is going to begin to have a domino effect if people are not held accountable for their words that directly contribute to fear and paranoia. Freedom of speech must stop when it crosses the line to inciting violence.
We saw this issue arise around Bill O’Reilly and his hate-filled words repeatedly lodged against Dr. Tiller until the loaded gun he placed on the table in front of him was finally picked up by a mentally disturbed individual whose life was obviously seen as disposable by these freaks like O’Reilly, Beck, Hannity, Bachman, Palin, Inhofe, Blunt, – I don’t have time to go on, the list is just too long!
The hanging death of this poor guy Kentucky is being investigated by the FBI and we won’t know the results today, but it is not taking a big leap that this was a hate crime. Of course, Bachman and the rest of the ‘c’Rs have been obstructionists against the Hate Crimes Bill as well…gee, wonder why? This is no accident…
What is WRONG with these people?
The popularity of these two troublemakers is disconcerting. Should their agenda succeed, we will find ourselves jn an ideological war that will trump the civil war, taking casualties that will ruin the republic. For supporters of these two, "Be careful what you wish for, you may get it"
They're both dangerous Morons and so is anybody who listens to their mis-informed rantings…such as "death panels"…the biggest lie of 2009. Idiots!
Saw a report about this on the news last night – they were interviewing the local law enforcement who said (incredibly enough) that at this point they couldn't rule out suicide or accident. Suicide is a huge leap but an accident !?!?!?!? How could this guy have accidentally written "Fed" on himself and then accidentally hanged himself? Watch the coverup begin.
As frightening as Michelle Bachman is, at least she comes out unscripted and swinging for the bat-crazy fences. Yes, she's hooked the 30% of America that eats crazy stew three meals a day, but she's got no chance of pulling in the rest.
Sarah Palin, on the other hand, is infinitely more dangersous. She hides behind handlers, speaks from a script, and answers only pre-arranged questions. Which is why I've issued a massive challenge for her to dine with me and four of my friends (as I bid on but lost the eBay auction). Please join me in pressuring this woman who claims to speak for Main Street to come out from behind her Oz-ian shield.

Ken Morris
Impressive challenge to the Palin "think tank" (and I use that term while laughing out lout)! She won't do it. For one thing she would only be inclined to participate if it were an approved charity supported by Dominionist guidelines, which is a very short list. Their charities typically end with Inc., Co., etc… Even her "Main Street" is incorporated.
I agree with your assessment of Bachman for national office, and the enormous danger of not taking Palin seriously. The problem is that they share the same base, and as unbelievable as it is to me, their comradeship just makes it all the more frightening.
Yes, yes, yes!! This could be the most exciting event of 2009 – after Obama's inauguration, of course. And Mr. Morris, if you're reading this, I even have the audacity to suggest the four dinner guests. I'm voting for Rachel Maddow, Jane Hamsher, Paul Krugman, and me. I'll even pay for my own dinner. haha
On second thought, I think the scientifically challenged Sarah could benefit from the expertise of someone like Richard Dawkins, or PZ Myers. It would be better if she had the chance to learn evolution from a biologist instead of a minister. Ok – I yield my seat to science. Carry on.
What is wrong with these people, you ask?
Mass psychosis… or maybe we should use the plural: psychoses… for there are many triggers. Unfortunately most of these "believers" are armed and trigger happy.
I fear this is merely the beginning of very trying times ahead. May I be wrong in that assumption.

"God was very displeased with the census, and he punished Israel for it. Then David said to God, “I have sinned greatly by taking this census. Please forgive my guilt for doing this foolish thing.”

Excellent foot work my friend! A blog is coming henceforth!
The census which "the devil made me do it!" in 1 Chr 21 ("And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel"), God himself ordered in 2 Sam 24 ("And again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them, to say, Go, number Israel and Judah"). Not to mention the two censuses that gave the book of Numbers its name!
woohoo – I think I found it! Why Bachmann is wigging out re the census! I have to put this into 2 posts, as it is "too long" per my efforts to put it into one post………
"Satan rose up against Israel and caused David to take a census of the people of Israel. So David said to Joab and the commanders of the army, “Take a census of all the people of Israel—from Beersheba in the south to Dan in the north—and bring me a report so I may know how many there are.”
But Joab replied, “May the LORD increase the number of his people a hundred times over! But why, my lord the king, do you want to do this? Are they not all your servants? Why must you cause Israel to sin?”
But the king insisted that they take the census, so Joab traveled throughout all Israel to count the people. Then he returned to Jerusalem and reported the number of people to David. There were 1,100,000 warriors in all Israel who could handle a sword, and 470,000 in Judah. But Joab did not include the tribes of Levi and Benjamin in the census because he was so distressed at what the king had made him do.
Bachmann's e-mail capability (from her website) is unoperable. Google research shows that this has been the case for some time – how do her constituants communicate with her? I was so upset last evening about the "lynching" of Bill Sparkman, that I wanted to ask her: "Are you happy now?"
So I e-mailed Gov. Pawlenty (I know – ugh) and asked him to forward my "words" to her.
Bachmann is bat-shit insane. What is wrong with the people who vote for her? I read that she will likely be re-elected in 2010. I know about her "district," but still – can there be that many lunatics in one place? I've noticed that any criticism of her insane conspiracy theories results in her fellow Dominionist prayer warriors screaming "religious persecution" and comparisons to the bible story of being thrown into the lion's den.
They always scream persecution! Yet that is exactly what they are doing to all that do not succumb to their sect ideologies. She is bat-shit insane…and there are so many like her. We have to just continue in our all out efforts to discredit them for their sacrilegious actions and abject disregard for our freedoms – religious and otherwise.
I too am furious that this man suffered at the hands of idiots fed by the 'c'hristian Bachman's of the world! My heart is sad for his family…
